Panel 2: The Business of Culture
Leomie Anderson
Global Supermodel, Fashion Entrepreneur and Diversity Campaigner
Leomie Anderson is a London-born supermodel of Jamaican heritage and one of the most recognisable Black British faces in global fashion. Her career breakthrough came when she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2019, making her one of the few Black British models to hold the title. She has walked for many of the world’s most prestigious fashion houses and brands, including Burberry, Moschino, Tommy Hilfiger, Oscar de la Renta, Jean Paul Gaultier and Calvin Klein, and has appeared in leading international publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, i-D and W Magazine. Working consistently across London, Paris, Milan and New York Fashion Weeks, she has built a reputation as one of the defining models of her generation.
Beyond modelling, Anderson has become one of the fashion industry’s most influential voices on representation and equity. She has spoken openly about racism, discrimination and the lack of diversity she has experienced throughout her career, challenging the industry while continuing to operate at its highest levels. Anderson represents a new generation of diaspora creatives who are not only shaping global culture but owning the products, platforms and businesses that emerge from it.
