Ndidi Massay is an attorney and senior sports and media executive with more than 20 years of experience serving as a trusted legal advisor to organizations across the sports and media ecosystem. Her work spans player and employment matters, endorsements, media rights, production agreements, and strategic partnerships, alongside advising executives on risk, governance, DEI, and business strategy. She brings a practical, business-minded approach to negotiation, risk management, and deal execution in high-stakes environments. She is a member of the New York and California Bars.


In addition to her legal work, Massay has led enterprise-wide culture, governance, and inclusion efforts at some of the industry’s most influential institutions. As Vice President of Workplace Culture and Inclusion at CBS Sports, she advised senior leadership on strategy, risk, and organizational design, and partnered on the negotiation of the $8B Big Ten media rights deal. 


Earlier, she served as Chair of the New York State Athletic Commission (New York Boxing Commission), appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the New York State Senate, where she led a full organizational and regulatory transformation. In that role, she authored New York’s first MMA policy and oversaw licensing, enforcement, and athlete safety across a complex, high-profile sports landscape. Her work sits at the intersection of legal, compliance, and business strategy, with a focus on building systems that are effective and durable in a rapidly evolving regulatory and cultural environment.


She has held leadership roles at CBS Sports, the New York State Athletic Commission, ESPN, ABC News, and RISE, and has represented and advised on behalf of on-air talent, NBA and NCAA head coaches, professional athletes, and sports executives. She has also served as a strategic advisor to the NFL and NCAA on DEI and social impact initiatives, helping shape frameworks that align business priorities with measurable impact.


A Hall of Fame inductee, former NCAA Division I All-American, four-time All-Big Ten selection, College World Series participant, and coach, Massay brings a deep, firsthand understanding of the sports ecosystem and the athletes, institutions, and stakeholders who shape it. She holds a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and a B.S. from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.


She is passionate about leveraging sports as a platform for leadership, life skills, and community impact. Wherever she leads, she brings strategic clarity, disciplined execution, and a commitment to building institutions and platforms that deliver meaningful, lasting impact.
