Max Siege
CEO of USA Track & Field
(USATF)

Renowned sports and entertainment executive Max Siegel became the fourth CEO of USA Track & Field (USATF) in May 2012. He has led the world’s #1 athletics team to unprecedented financial growth, programmatic evolution, and inclusive representation, generating over $600 million in revenue and expanding its annual budget threefold to a record $40 million.

Siegel oversees more than 60+ USATF Championship events and has successfully guided USATF through four Olympic Games and eleven World Championships. He also played a pivotal role in securing the Oregon 2022 World Athletics Championships on US soil for the first time. Furthermore, under his leadership, USATF has become the most diverse and inclusive national governing body in the U.S. Olympic Movement – on and off the track. In 2024, USATF was recognized as Member Federation of the Year by World Athletics.

Siegel's achievements at USATF further complement a more than 30-year track record of competitive success in sports and entertainment, including a stint as President of Global Operations at Dale Earnhardt Inc., where he made motorsport history in 2007 as the highest-ranking African American executive in NASCAR, and as Senior Vice President at Sony/BMG and President of Zomba Gospel, Tommy Boy Gospel and Verity Records, where he led one of the most profitable divisions in the Sony BMG system.

As owner of Rev Racing since 2010 and manager of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program, Siegel has helped recruit and develop more multicultural and female talent in the sport. The program has transformed from a fledgling effort into a competitive force on the racetrack, producing stars such as Bubba Wallace and Nick Sanchez. Beyond motorsports and track and field, Siegel and his wife also own Rev Volleyball Academy, further demonstrating their commitment to creating pathways for young, diverse talent in sports.

Siegel is a nationally respected leader in board governance, currently serving as Vice Chair and Chair of the Committee on Trustees at Martin University, a national board member of Scouting America, a member of the TedSports Indianapolis Executive Committee, and a member of the Executive and Nominating & Governance Committees at the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE). He also serves on the boards or advisory councils of the National Association of Gospel Radio, the NASCAR Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, the PointsBet Diversity Council, the Notre Dame University Law School, and Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School. With a strong track record across mission-driven institutions, Siegel brings deep expertise in board functionality, succession planning, executive evaluation, and organizational integrity.

He is widely recognized for modernizing governance structures while preserving institutional legacy, ensuring that board service is both strategic and transformative. Known for his preparedness, principled leadership, and outcomes-driven approach, Siegel’s work reflects a lasting commitment to alignment, transparency, and long-term impact.

His recent recognitions include being named a 2024 and 2025 Indiana 250 Honoree – which recognizes the most influential and impactful leaders in the state – the 2024 Black Sports Business Symposium Executive of the Year Award, the 2023 North Carolina Motorsports Association Industry Award, and the 2022 SBJ All In: Leaders in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. An active voice in his community, he has appeared on influential speaking panels, including at the CAA World Congress of Sport, the Sports Business Journal Brand Innovation Summit, and the Black Sports Symposium. He was also the featured keynote speaker at the Indiana University Indianapolis Elevate Sports Innovation Summit at the NCCA headquarters.

The first African American to graduate with honors from Notre Dame Law School, Siegel is also an accomplished author of three books and a film producer. He is a native of Indianapolis and resides there with his wife and three children.
