SVP, Business & Legal Affairs, Skydance Sports
Marjorie Williams is SVP, Business and Legal Affairs at Skydance Sports (a division of Paramount Sports Entertainment), the preeminent studio for leagues, teams and A-List talent behind award-winning content including “Air", “America’s Team” (the Dallas Cowboys doc series), “Taurasi”, and “Kelce”. There, she oversees negotiations on feature, scripted and unscripted/doc projects and also focuses on business operations. Prior to joining Skydance Sports, Williams was recruited to help launch a boutique entertainment law firm where she represented A-List actors, showrunners, writers, directors, producers, production companies and rights holders across film, television, and new media. Williams was previously a senior business affairs executive at Amazon Studios and United Talent Agency; and has also held roles on the Business & Legal Affairs teams at Endemol Shine North America and Viacom (Comedy Central and BET Networks).
Additionally, she's a retired military officer, obtaining the rank of Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Her 22+ years of combined active duty and reserve service included tours out of embassies abroad and support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
Williams is a Los Angeles native who holds a B.A. from Howard University, M.A. from the University of Oklahoma, J.D. from Loyola Law School, and an Executive M.B.A. from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Williams has received numerous awards/honors including being recognized by the National Bar Association as a Top 40 Lawyer Under 40 and a Woman of Influence by the LA Business Journal.
