Narda Jones is the Founder and Principal of Acacia Hill Strategies, where she counsels clients on technology, media, communications, and public policy matters. She also serves as a Fellow at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, America’s Black think tank, where she advises on artificial intelligence, the future of work, and the impact of technological change on Black workers and communities.

Her work focuses on the legal, regulatory, and business issues shaping the future of media, sports, entertainment, and technology, including competition policy, intellectual property, free speech, content moderation, and emerging technologies.

 

Narda has held senior leadership roles across government and public policy, including serving as Chief of Staff at the Federal Communications Commission, Director of Legislative Affairs at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and Senior Counsel for Technology Policy on the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

At the FCC, Narda led a broad range of communications and media policy initiatives, including issues related to broadcast regulation, licensing, content moderation, competition policy, and emerging technologies. During her tenure on the Senate Commerce Committee, her portfolio included sports, media, telecommunications, and technology policy, including issues related to Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), Olympic and amateur athletics policy, media consolidation, intellectual property, and broader competition and consumer protection matters. At OSTP, she helped lead engagement with Congress on technology, innovation, competition policy, and emerging debates around online speech and platform governance.

Narda received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University.
