Jamaal A. Castang, Esq. is a native of the Hampton Roads by way of Harlem, NY. He practices

Entertainment Law in the Washington, DC area under his firm The Law Offices of Jamaal A. Castang,

PLLC located in Alexandria, VA. His passion for legal representation in the entertainment industry comes

from the desire to empower Black minorities who tend to be the major push behind creativity that we see

in music, television, and film. Specifically, he wants to be the conduit between Black talent and Black

representation. His experience as a Billboard Charted music producer in the music industry allows him to

meet the needs of his clients on the talent side. He represents major recording artists, music producers,

social media influencers, fashion designers, book authors, and tv/film producers. His list of clients he has

represented includes Grammy Award Winning music producer Nottz (Kanye West, Drake, Kendrick

Lamar), Grammy Award nominee gospel music artist John P. Kee, major recording artists Gang51e June

(Atlantic Records), Joe West (Universal/Republic), Interior Designer Victoria Adesanmi, and fashion

designer Andre Julius.

In addition to his legal practice, as mentioned Jamaal is an accomplished and current music

producer and songwriter. He is a member of the Billboard Charted music production team the

PROFOUNDSOUNDS based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He received his BA in 2010 from Norfolk

State University and received his JD from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke

School of Law. He visited Howard University School of Law in 2014. Jamaal is admitted to the bar of the
