Sandrine Nzeukou
Co-founder and CEO of Playbook
Sandrine Nzeukou has developed and led ecosystem-building initiatives at the intersection of investment, sports, innovation, and economic development in the emerging sports, private equity, and venture capital markets.
In her current role she serves as the co-founder and CEO of Playbook. Playbook is a research and innovation studio that blends experimentation, data and storytelling to create and test new commercialization strategies in emerging sports markets. We turn insights into actionable data and compelling stories, helping corporates, investors, and startups rethink how they innovate.
Before this, she was Managing Partner of Tessa, an Africa-first sports and entertainment marketing agency, led Invest Africa US(IAUS) as the executive director, where she drove the strategic vision of the organization and connected Invest Africa’s global network of private equity firms, venture capital firms, family offices, Ultra High Net Worth individuals, and service providers through the network’s intentional convening power.
Sandrine’s passion lies in the revolutionary potential of Africa, and her work in network development and triage supported IAUS’s over $3 billion worth of capital flow into the continent. Through partnerships with the likes of Forbes, NBA Africa, the National Basketball Players Association, and various African governments and development finance institutions, Sandrine continues to move the needle of increasing interest and participation in Africa's frontier and emerging markets.
Sandrine is also passionate about supporting visionary companies through her strategic advisory work, supporting category innovators like Kasi Desert Circuit, Africa’s first climate-aligned motorsport and innovation district, and HERitage Collective, a collective of African women executives and founders closing the gap between ambition and access for Africa’s next generation of leaders.
A former professional athlete, Sandrine represented her home country of Cameroon in the 2011 and 2015 FIBA Olympic qualifying women’s basketball tournaments in both Bamako, Mali, and Yaounde, Cameroon. She holds an MBA in Management and B.S. in Marketing from the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she served as a captain of the women’s basketball team.
