Jose Alvarez serves as A&R Executive at Rimas Entertainment. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he brings a deep understanding of the island’s rich musical culture and the broader Latin music landscape. With a passion for discovering and developing new talent, Alvarez focuses on guiding artists creatively while providing strong legal and strategic support in an ever-evolving industry.

At Rimas Entertainment, Alvarez works under the leadership of the company’s General Manager Rodrigo Prichard, President Jonathan Miranda, and CEO Noah Assad. In this role, he oversees the creative direction, marketing, and release strategy for artists across the label’s roster. He plays a key part in negotiating with labels, managers, and producers to finalize label waivers, producer agreements, publishing splits, and distribution deals. Beyond his legal and strategic responsibilities, Alvarez is instrumental in discovering and developing new talent while collaborating closely with Rimas’ legal department to structure distribution contracts and strengthen the label’s creative network.

Prior to joining Rimas Entertainment, Alvarez served as an A&R at Warner Music Latina and as a talent manager at Habibi Management, where he gained valuable experience across multiple facets of the music industry. His early work exposed him to the creative, business, and management sides of the Latin market, giving him a well-rounded understanding of how to develop artists strategically while navigating the complexities of label operations and artist relations.
