Alicia Ferriabough is an Entertainment Attorney and partner at the Law Offices of Robert A. Celestin, Esq. in New York, NY. Alicia earned her Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Spelman College.
Prior to practicing Entertainment Law, Alicia worked at one of Boston’s premier law firms, Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, LLP, where she represented emerging technologies companies in the areas of venture capital financing, and publicly traded companies in the areas of mergers and acquisitions. But, as a musician at heart (Alicia played snare drums in the Morehouse College Marching Band and full trap set in the Spelman College Jazz Ensemble), Alicia was naturally drawn to the music industry and New York City. For over 15 years Alicia has advised recording artists such as Shaboozey, XXXTentacion, Desiigner, 6ix9ine, Pop Smoke, Journey Montana and Adina Howard; producers, such as Boogzdabeast, Rico Beats, Smash David, and Go Grizzly; and songwriters and composers such as London Jae, Ray Chew, Desmond Murray and Lihtz, in a wide variety of entertainment related matters.
Alicia has been recognized in Billboard Magazine as a 2022 R&B/Hip Hop Power Play, a 2023 and 2024 Top Music Lawyer ,and was also an ASCAP Women Behind the Music Class of 2021 honoree. Alicia has participated in various career panels over the years, including the 2024 Mondo NYC “The Business of Music” conference; “Representing the Culture Creators in the Digital Era” presented by the National Bar Association; the ASCAP Experience’s “Women Behind the Music: Homecoming Edition”; and “The Entertainment Summit” presented by Spelman College, to name a few.
