Founder, PoshRebel Entertainment

Candice K. Stephenson is a former Entertainment Attorney turned Business and Licensing executive. She founded PoshRebel Entertainment, a music business, music licensing, and content production consulting company that has provided services for entities such as Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, William Morris Endeavor, and IPG/Mediabrands, to name a few.

Her expertise has proven to be instrumental for celebrities and corporations alike in the areas of music business consulting, deal strategy, business affairs for brand partnerships and original content, and sample clearances and licensing for television and new media.

Candice’s 10-year career began in reality television while managing clearances for VH1’s Love & Hip Hop (New York, Atlanta, and Hollywood). She went on to manage licensing for a suite of ABC Network’s most legendary shows: Good Morning America, Nightline, World News Tonight, and 20/20.

Stephenson then joined Spotify as Counsel, where she spent 4 years. Candice’s highlights at Spotify include being the lead attorney on “Paul McCartney - Under the Staircase (live at Abbey Road).” She also launched the platform’s first original podcasts, Noisemakers and Showstopper; and she negotiated original content deals such as Spotify Sessions, to name a few. She also served as lead counsel role for the launch of Spotify’s original content programming and some of its main playlists: including Rap Caviar, Viva Latino, and Hot Country, among others.

After exiting Spotify, Candice turned her attention to an area of the entertainment industry that was seeing a significant shift with the emergence of digital media platforms and influencers; she found her niche in Music Clearance and Business Consulting, representing projects like Daddy Yankee’s 20/20 live visual album, and the songs “Pasatiempo,” “BomBon,” and “Bloke” on his 2022 album, Legendaddy. In 2022, Candice managed and closed millions of dollars in deals for William Morris Endeavor’s Digital team, working as the lead business affairs executive on deals like the Fly on the Wall Podcast (with two legendary Saturday Night Live actors in the show's early days) and the We can do Hard Things - Podcast, to name a few.

In the brand partnership space, Candice has closed branding deals on behalf of BMW, T.E.D, Sony Pictures, and Johnson and Johnson. Candice’s most recent music sample clearance is Latin star, Justin Quiles's rendition of “Asi Fue.”
