Lance McPherson currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs, Paramount. Mr. McPherson sets the business legal strategy and manages a team that oversees 10 networks including Showtime, MTV, and Comedy Central, as well as their studios which produce scripted, unscripted, animation, and event-based programming for streaming and linear platforms, including Yellowstone, Love and Hip Hop, Yellowjackets, Lioness, The Daily Show, Dexter, the MTV VMAs and MTV Documentary Films. Mr. McPherson has practiced media and entertainment law for more than 30 years at law firms and at Paramount where he has represented individuals and corporations and provided business strategy and crisis management advice to C-Suite executives. Mr. McPherson began his career at the New York City intellectual property law firm, Brown Raysman Millstein specializing in litigation and entertainment law. He graduated from the University of Maryland and received his law degree from Rutgers Law School. He is barred in New York and New Jersey.
