Milan Selassie began his career as an investment banker and a money manager before embarking on a 20 year career in the entertainment and film industry.   After receiving his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he also received his B.A., he started his career in entertainment and film at the William Morris Agency, in both the independent film group and talent & packaging division. Upon leaving the agency, Mr. Selassie started Intelligent Media Productions in order to focus on producing films that make people think, feel, and smile. His inaugural film production was Back to School Mom, which starred Kimberly Elise, Loretta Devine, Rick Fox, Denzel Whitaker, Garcelle Beauvais, and Harry Lennix.  His most recent film, Singleholic, stars Rotimi Akinosho, Vanessa Williams, Tyson Beckford, Stephen Bishop, Erica Ash and Adrian Martinez.  His films have been released on theatrical, linear, and streaming platforms and both have been released on Valentine's Day weekends.

Mr. Selassie's next film, Move the Crowd, begins production in Atlanta in July 2024, and A Love So Loud begins production in Johannesburg, South Africa in February 2025.
