Sally Ng is Senior Vice President, Head of Business and Legal Affairs for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, NBCUniversal International Networks and Direct-to-Consumer Latin America. In her role, Ng oversees business and legal affairs for multiple business units including NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises’ Spanish-language broadcast and digital businesses in the United States, and Telemundo Studios’ businesses which includes all aspects of its multiplatform activities comprising development, production, and exploitation of its intellectual property and experiences globally. Ng is also the lead advisor for NBCUniversal’s networks and direct-to-consumer products across Latin America, which include Universal+, E! Entertainment, DreamWorks, Studio Universal, USA Network, Universal TV, CNBC, and Telemundo Internacional. Ng oversees all legal strategy on a range of subjects including strategic transactions, regulatory affairs, content licensing, marketing, content distribution, and advertising. In addition, she manages government relations across all NBCUniversal businesses in Latin America. Ng reports directly to Luis Fernández, Chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
A company veteran of nearly two decades, Ng has made significant contributions to the success of Telemundo Enterprises and its entertainment strategy building new formats of storytelling and next-generation content businesses leveraging NBCUniversal brands and IP. In addition, she manages NBCUniversal’s ownership interest in various joint ventures across Latin America, including NBCUniversal’s six network joint venture in Latin America with Ole Communications and the three-channel joint venture with Grupo Globo in Brazil. Ng also led the legal strategy and operations for NBCUniversal’s standalone operations in local markets including the set-up of new offices and restructuring of sales, creative, and operations teams in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Ng served key roles at Paramount and FOX International where she was responsible for affiliate distribution agreements, content licensing, and multi-million-dollar corporate strategic transactions. She was responsible for expanding the business across Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
Ng is a board member for the Television Association of Programmers (TAP) Latin America, an industry trade organization representing global streaming platforms and pan-regional pay-tv channels in Latin America from major U.S. media companies, and is an active member of the Council of the Americas. She is a former board member of the Miami Chapter of the U.S. National Committee for UN Women. Ng holds a degree from Oxford Institute of Legal Practice and an Executive Education Certificate from Columbia University’s Business School.
