Nyasha Shani Foy, Esq.

Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, Horizon Media

Nyasha Shani Foy is a multi-hyphenate business & legal affairs executive, corporate transactional lawyer, creative and thought leader. She has extensive knowledge advising global brands, start-ups and scale-ups in the areas of intellectual property law, media, entertainment, and emerging technologies.

Nyasha has served in senior business and legal affairs roles at Buzzfeed, Complex Media, VICE Media Group, Broadway Video and Sotheby’s as their first Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, NFTs. She brings a wealth of experience supporting brand partnerships, commercial transactions, and activations, such as ComplexLand and ComplexCon.

Outside of her professional life, Nyasha serves on the Save the Music Foundation Board, on the Board of Directors for the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA), and as Vice Chair of the New York State Bar Association, Intellectual Property Law Section. She is a creative writer and frequent speaker on topics ranging from artificial intelligence (AI) to social justice.

Nyasha received her B.A. in Music and French from Wesleyan University, and her J.D. from New York Law School. She is admitted to practice in California and New York. Nyasha is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
