Marjorie Williams recently joined United Talent Agency (UTA) as a Business Affairs Executive, where she negotiates a variety of deals across the Talent, TV Lit, Alternative, Media Rights, Podcasts, and Endorsements & Voiceover teams.
Prior to UTA, she was Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, at Endemol Shine North America (ESNA), where she oversaw development matters for ESNA’s scripted and unscripted programming teams, digital division, and Latino division. In addition, she also handled day-to-day corporate matters. Prior to joining ESNA, Williams was Senior Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs at Comedy Central. In that role, Williams was one of a handful of Viacom attorneys primarily focused on digital/new media transactions and was instrumental in structuring and negotiating digital content deals for programming that was distributed via SnapChat, Instagram, Vine, Periscope, YouTube, Sirius XM radio, and other SVOD/AVOD platforms. Williams began her legal career as Manager, Business & Legal Affairs at BET Networks where she negotiated and drafted a variety of development and production agreements for BET’s scripted and unscripted programs. She has been recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Lawyer by the National Bar Association and as a Woman of Influence by the LA Business Journal.
Williams holds a B.A. from Howard University, M.A. from the University of Oklahoma, J.D. from Loyola Law School - Los Angeles, and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Marjorie also serves her country as a Major in the United States Air Force Reserves (with 18+ years of combined active duty and reserve service) where she has served abroad in multiple countries, supported senior embassy staff, been a NATO liaison to several multi-national exercises, worked at multiple DC agencies and supported Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
