BESLA Membership & Registration Form
Instructions Please read this page in its entirety before completing the attached forms.
Annual membership dues are valid from November 1 until October 31 of each year.
Automatic renewal is available on line via VeriSign.
A Membership application MUST be completed and filed with the BESLA office to register and/or otherwise participate in BESLA sponsored activities (including, without limitation, the Annual BESLA Conference).
This primary address is the member address to which BESLA correspondence will be mailed. Please furnish the BESLA office with prompt written notice of any change of member information (including, without limitation, member primary address and e-mail address). BESLA may make its members names and addresses available to companies and organizations that help contribute non-dues dollars to BESLA. However, a member may furnish BESLA with written notice (on or before December 1) of a members preference (i) not to receive mailings other than those from BESLA or (ii) not to be included in the BESLA membership directory.
Member Category Requirements
- Lawyers must provide Bar Association and state number.
- Students must present official evidence of full-time student status (e.g., current school picture ID).
- Recent law practitioners must present verification of recent graduation (2006).
- Patrons (Lifetime general membership).
- Sustaining (Lifetime associate membership).
Refunds The membership fee is non-refundable.
Annual Conference and BESLA related activities (fund raisers are exempt.) Conference registration fees are based on BESLA membership categories. Your membership must be current in order for you to take advantage of the member registration fee. Full registration for the BESLA Annual Conference includes many MCLE accredited educational sessions and several networking functions. Registration forms submitted via mail must be postmarked on or before September 25, 2006 to qualify prior to the on-site registration rate. Registrations submitted via fax or the Internet must be date/time stamped by 11:59 p.m. (eastern standard time) on or before October 16, 2006. *Advance registrations are defined as any payment made prior to on-site registration.
Full payment must be received with your registration form. Make checks payable to BESLA or charge your registration to American Express, Visa, Master Card. Registrations without complete payment will not be processed. No refunds will be granted. Refunds are not granted for no-shows. Registrations are non-transferable and substitutions are not allowed. No exceptions.
Online Membership other Registrations. Do not re-enter your payment online twice. If you are experiencing difficulties, please contact the BESLA office listed on the payment page.
Name Badges The Full Conference Registration Badge will afford access to the following functions: (A) ALL BESLA sponsored educational activities (i.e., conference seminars, panels, roundtables and other program activities) AND (B) the Meal and Function Only Badge" activities listed below.
The "Meal and Function” Badge will afford access ONLY to the following functions: (A) the welcome reception; (B) all brunches, luncheons; (C) any BESLA sponsored entertainment activity include on the registration materials and (D) the Annual Gala Reception and Dinner.
Tickets Subject to seating capacity and other dining restrictions, a limited number of Annual Gala Reception and Dinner Only tickets may be purchased, on-site on a "first come-first serve" basis.
