BESLA Honors the Future

From décor to dialogue, the ‘greening’ concept underpinned BESLA conference '09 Student Scholarship Luncheon, which saluted BESLA Brief Legal Writing Competition winners. Topic selections were Disrupters:  How is the continuing growth of Social Media - Social Networks, Blogging and Microblogging – impacting the Entertainment and Sports Industries? and Spotlight on Green: “Greening” the Entertainment & Sports Industries. 

As part of the Conference's Spotlight on Green focus, Bianca Alexander of Conscious Planet Media discussed address on eco-friendly actions that can be taken to demonstrate that ‘going green’ is smart business and empowering for community development.

A “Thriller Throwback”  Pre-Halloween celebration and a moment of silence were among conference tributes to the man recognized by BESLA
as The Disrupter’ of A Lifetime- Michael Jackson.
