Brittani Halliburton is a raising third year law student at Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She is the current Sports and Entertainment Law Society (SELS) President and Student Bar Association Social Chair. She plans to become an entertainment attorney upon graduating in May of 2016. As an entertainment attorney Ms. Halliburton plans to protect the art of music and the rights of musicians by educating her clients and negotiating contracts on behalf of her clients with their best interest in mind.
She was born in Texas and raised in Louisiana Ms. Halliburton was destined to be in the music industry at birth. Born into a family of musicians she grew up spending most of her time in recording studios with her mother and attending meetings regarding recording and publishing deals for her mother's career.
After high school she attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relation's in 2011. She then moved back to Houston and began her own event and public relations planning firm. While planning several private listening parties, weddings, etc. she found time to coordinate and plan events at TMSL under the supervision of Assistant Dean Prudence Smith.
Ms. Halliburton is a very hardworking and dedicated to community service. She had the opportunity to attend the BESLA Conference last year in Mexico, and after attending she made it a requirement that all SELS E-Board members apply to volunteer. She hopes to help in a tremendous way this year in Jamaica.
